Our Christian Vision

Unlocking Possibilities, Making a Difference

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

Philippians 4:13

Who are we? What are we doing here? How then, shall we live and learn together?

At The Humberston Church of England Primary School, we help everyone to unlock possibilities by supporting each other to learn and grow as curious, resilient and courageous individuals.  We invest in those in our school and want to build a community where everyone feels valued and valuable. We can then contribute to something bigger, challenging social injustices in our wonderful community and being agents of change to make a positive difference in the world.

We do this through building resilience and recognising the strength and guidance God provides us with. Humans are not perfect, but we are all made in the image of God and loved by him. The Bible is filled with stories of people who were strengthened by God’s guidance to make wise choices but also of stories of people who got it wrong – who made mistakes and unwise choices. In these stories, they are not abandoned by God; he is alongside them in their troubles.

The Bible teaches us that God wants us to honour and support each other, unlocking our possibilities so that we can make a positive difference in the world. It tells us he will be there with us as we strive to do this, supporting us to make wise choices and helping us move forwards when we make mistakes.

In our school, when we make mistakes, we learn from this together and move forwards. We strengthen each other and trust each other to make wise choices. We are always there for each other, in times of joy and in times of challenge. Together, we make a positive difference in God’s world.
