Vision Statement:

 

At Humberston Church of England Primary School, we believe that through teaching and learning we want to equip all learners with the experiences and skills of Computing that they will be able to use in the rapidly changing technological world. We aim to ensure that they develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the relevant skills needed to encourage the children to show resilience and perseverance to work independently and confidently in Computing.  Through the teaching and learning of Computing, we aim to provide our children with a range of technological experiences to enable them to unlock possibilities and present them with opportunities during their time with us; such as designing their own programs and creating their own websites. It is also our aim to enhance children’s curiosity levels to help them to learn independence and resilience in Computing.

 

Curriculum Intent:

 

The main skills that Humberston Church of England are aiming for are the children to gain confidence in using different types of technology and working independently with technology. We want the children to build their substantive and disciplinary knowledge and ensure that they to continue to build their knowledge throughout their time at our school.
