Enterprise Day 2017

As part of our life-skills curriculum, each class have been learning about the world of business and have been developing their entrepreneurial skills. The process began with the children suggesting products that could be made to sell at a profit. Within Maths lessons, the children worked out the cost of the materials needed to make their products. They then calculated their cost price and their profit margins to generate a retail price.

Throughout the weeks leading up to Enterprise Day, the children developed their use of Design Technology to design and mass produce products. This year, our stalls sold gift tags, Christmas tree decorations, 'Pick n Mix' hand made chocolates, homemade fudge, Christmas cards, glazed pottery tea light holders, bath bombs and a range of cakes and biscuits.

We would like to thank all of the children for their hard work and all of the parents and families of our children who very generously bought lots of products in aid of raising money for our school funds.

The money raised from previous Enterprise Days has been put towards the cost of revitalising the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 playgrounds and will also go towards buying 'wet play' boxes containing a range of games and activities for each class.

Classes 4 and 11 were our winning classes and we raised a huge £1032 from our successful Enterprise Day.

Well done!
