Maths - Representing numbers

In Class 5, we have been learning about representing numbers. We used unifix cubes to represent two and three digit numbers. Some of us were even able to represent four digit numbers too! We showed great resilience when we struggled with our answers and we showed fantastic unity as we supported each other with finding out answers.

I am so proud of you all Class 5, well done!

Teamwork!

In PE, we have been learning the importance of teamwork and how to communicate and work effectivley in teams.

For this lesson, we created an obstacle course. In groups of 3, one of the children wore a blindfold, whilst the other two children had to give instructions to the blindfolded child to ensure that they completed the obstacle correctly and safely.

Class 5 worked really hard and had lots of fun. Everyone in the class finished the obstacle course safely because they all worked so well in their teams.

Science  - Light

In Science, we are learning about Light and what the purpose of light is. In today's lesson, we discussed what light is, what light sources do we have in our classroom and we explored what the difference is between natural light sources and hand-made light sources.

In our groups, we had to sort the different light sources into the correct categories. We had to discuss these as a group and be respectful of others' ideas and opinions.

We were confident at sorting these out into the correct categories and did a fantastic job! Well done Class 5!
