All Creatures Great and Small!
This term, we are learning all about animals. This includes animal classification, life cycles, habitats, food chains and so much more! Take a look at some of the exciting things we've been up to so far.
Humans are animals too!
We labelled the human body parts, before then labelling animal body parts. They were very different to our body parts and we had a great discussion about why this was and what animals use their body parts for.
We spent an afternoon moving just like animals do.
We hopped like rabbits, waddled like penguins and fluttered like butterflies.
We LOVED creating our own crazy animals using a mixture of body parts!
We then used our growing knowledge of adjectives to describe our new creatures.
We had a great time becoming scientists and examining (playdough) animal poo!
You can tell a lot from animal poo such as what an animal has been eating!
This helped us work out which animals were carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.
