On Monday 21st November, the school councillors went to Grimsby Town Hall to learn more about the role of a councillor and what the Mayor does. The children got the opportunity to sit in the council chambers and ask the Mayor questions about his role, his clothing, chain of office and the history of the Mayor. 

They then explored the Grimsby Town Hall jail and visited the Time Trap museum to learn about the history of Grimsby and see some artefacts. 

Whilst in the museum, the children had to hunt for facts in order to be able to answer the questions given by the Mayor himself. 

The children had a wonderful morning and came back thinking about their own role within school!
