Dear Parents
As we are nearing the end of the summer term, we would like to thank all of our parents, carers and children for all of your patience, understanding and efforts during the partial school closure. We know this has not been as easy time for all and we are looking forward to September, when we hope to be able to return to some normality with all pupils from all year groups being welcomed back. With this in mind, we wanted to inform you about how and when you will be told about the arrangements for the next academic year.
As normal, we will be sending out an end of year report for each child at the end of this summer term. These reports will be posted via Royal Mail to parents. Within the report pack, you will also receive key information regarding the class structure and class your child will be in when they return in September. There will be some transitional information about the new class, classroom and teacher and an activity to complete over the Summer Holidays to bring back for a class display. Key information regarding lunches and general safety rules and procedures will also be contained in this pack, which we hope you will find useful. However, if after receiving the pack, you have any questions, please do contact us via phone or email and we will be happy to help.
We intend for these packs to reach you by Friday 10th July as we have been told to expect new Government guidance regarding September to be released at the end of this week. We will then be able to finalise all of the details and share this with you.
For those of you who are already in school, our last day will be Friday 17th July. School will not close at the normal time of 1:30pm but will close at your allocated collection time to support our social distancing measures and we look forward to welcoming all pupils back on Thursday 3rd September.

Dear parents/carers,
Welcome to the second half of the summer term. Thank you for your patience in these very difficult times. As you can imagine we are extremely busy preparing school to open as safely as possible to some more key workers.
Regarding home learning, please bear with us. We have today published on the website this term’s learning overview. From Tuesday 9th June and every Tuesday afterwards we will also be publishing some worksheets that the children in school will be doing. The printed worksheets will also be available from school if you require a hard copy. They will be attached to the school gate in year groups from the Tuesday of that week. Please do not enter the school grounds when collecting worksheets and please also avoid school drop off and pick up times between 8:40-9:30 and 2:55-3:40 when collecting for everyone’s safety.
The email address hcepdisplayphotos@gmail.com can be used to send in a photo of your children’s work if you would like it to be marked/seen by a teacher in school. We are fully aware that some of you have a home school learning routine that you are happy with and we are not asking you to change your system please, as previously stated, use the home learning system that works best for your family situation.
As always, if you need any guidance on home learning please continue to contact class teachers using the hcepdisplayphotos@gmail.com email address and similarly if your child would benefit from a call please let us know.
Please do not feel any pressure from school regarding education. Our main priority, as is yours, is keeping everyone safe and well. We look forward to welcoming you all back when it is safe to do so.

Free School Meals
During these challenging times, we want to ensure that pupils who are eligible for free school meals can continue to access support if they are not in school. The school have registered with the Department for Education and Edenred UK who have set up a partnership to offer supermarket food vouchers. Due to exceptionally high demand Edenred UK are having some difficulties in delivering the vouchers via email but are working hard to resolve these issues so that the people who are in the most need can be helped during these difficult times. If you are registered for free school meal entitlement and need the food vouchers, please email the school at office@hcep.co.uk with your email address and we will endeavour to register you with the DfE and Edenred.
Please note that free school meals are not the same as Universal Infant Free School Meals which are available to FS and KS1 children.
