Vision and Values Day November 2023
We all had a fantastic time learning all about how ‘resilience’ is a key value that support us on our vision journey. ‘Unlocking Possibilities’ and ‘Making a Difference’ may not always be easy, in fact, at times it may be very difficult! But with the strength of God and our resilience, we can achieve wonderful things in God’s world.
Classes learnt about resilience in a range of different ways.
Many heard all about how Harry Kane and other premier league footballers and teams have had to show resilience to get to where they are today.
Others learnt about people both nationally and in the local community who have made a difference and listed the barriers these people would have faced in their quest to make a difference. The children realised it would have been very easy for them to give up hope but they kept on going, showed amazing resilience and truly made a difference to others and their community.
All classes enjoyed a fantastic workshop in the hall with visitor Owen, who set up lots of tricky challenges to complete. He encouraged us to keep on going and never give up and we encouraged our friends in this way too.
Finally, we updated our 'Christian Values egg boxes' with even more super ways that we can display our values at home, school, in our community and beyond.
Before we went home, we were all given a little book called ‘Rocket Rules’, which is a fictional character’s list of 10 ways to make a difference in the world, our new guide to support us on our vision journey.
What a great day!
