On the week beginning 10th October 2022, every class took part in a Mini First Aid Course. The wonderful Zoe came in to teach us all about first aid and the importance of it.

In KS1, we looked at how we could administer first aid onto someone, how to use plasters correctly, what to do if someone had bumped their head, the number to phone in an emergency, the importance of knowing your home address in an emergency and practised having a conversation with the emergency services.

In KS2, we then discussed safe eating and what to do if someone is choking. We focused on remembering the 3 main rules to safe eating, 'Sit. Chop. Chew' and then used the dummies to practise what we would do if someone was choking.

We were all then awarded a sticker and a certificate for our hard work!
