After qualifying for the Lincolnshire County Cricket final, our Year 5 mixed team  headed to Hartsholme Cricket Club, Lincoln, on Tuesday 4th July to see if they could keep up with their winning streak.

Playing against 5 of the top teams in the county, our boys and girls were able to display some phenomenal  team work, fantastic batting and even tighter fielding!

With some incredible players and teams present on the day, Humberston placed 5th in the cup final! Their incredible efforts and sportsmanship however didn’t go unnoticed as they were the proud recipients of the Sports Values certificate for respect and showing the ‘Spirit of cricket’!!

To be placed 5th out of approximately 100 schools in the county, who competed for their place to even get to the final, is a huge achievement for this team and one which they should be incredibly proud of! Well done Humberston!
