Exploring prayer
During this part of the day, we looked at the diffferent reasons why people pray, how they pray and what they are praying for. We explored the idea of 'my 5 finger prayer' and this helped us identify who we were writing our prayers for.
Writing and sharing our prayers
After exploring different types of prayers and how everybody has their own unique way of praying, we decided to write our own prayers and then share them with other people in the reflection garden.
We are unique
To end our prayer day, we looked at all of the things that make us unique within our school community and at home. This was a time for the children to reflect on what makes them who they are and they were able to represent this onto their pebble, which they will use every class worship.
