Antarctica Topic
In the Spring term we chose the topic Antarctica. In literacy we have been looking at famous explorers that have been on brave expeditions to the Southern Hemisphere such as Ernest Shackleton and in georgraphy we have been exploring the harsh climate of Antarctica and finding out why it has such an inhospitable enviroment. We have had great fun in science learning about all the different plants and animals and how they have adapted to survive in the extreme conditions which made us really excited to dive into our science focus of evolution, adaptation and inheritance.
One of our science tasks was to choose a plant or animal and as a group, do some detailed research about how they can survive in Antarctica. After, we had to present our findings to the rest of the class and teach them all about the animal or plant we have chosen
