Adaptation
During our classroom session, we learned so much about how animals adapt to their environment. Did you know that polar bears are not really white, their long outer hairs, which protect their soft, thick undercoat, are mostly hollow and transparent. They look white because the air spaces in the hairs scatter light of all colours.
Snakes
Here we are during the classroom session we had the opportunity to touch some of the animals which was amazing. We investigated some camel fur, replica skulls of different animals and even stroked a milk snake. it was great!
Giraffes
The giraffes were so elegant and graceful, they sauntered across the park with their elongated necks.
