Paddington's London Adventure
Class 2 will be following Paddington as he explores London. We will be learning about some of the fascinating landmarks that are in our capital and the children will be sharing their own experiences of the city.
We will focus on the importance of Buckingham Palace as a London landmark and the Royal Family.
London is famous for traffic, so we will learn more about the modes of transport we could use to travel around the city.
We will move on to learn about London in the past and explore the events of the Great Fire of London. We will make comparisons with fire fighting today and talk about the importance of fire safety.
Bake Me a Story
The children were excited to develop their baking and cooking skills so our second topic will focus in on developing these skills using Traditional stories as a starting point. We will be developing our reading and writing sharing some of the Traditional stories listed below and will have lots of opportunities to apply our maths especially our knowledge of measure and number.
