Harvest Festival at St Peter's Church

On Tuesday 27th September 2016, the whole school walked to the local St Peter's Church.

We were seated in the pews and watched as Class 7 explained the meaning of Harvest and how it is celebrated around the world.

We all joined in with hymns and prayers at the end of the service.

Class 7 did a superb job in leading our Harvest festival worship and  the church wardens present commented that all children sung beautifully and sat quietly and respectfully whilst in church.

Back at school, our table of Harvest donations grew and grew and all the food kindly brought in to school was then collected by a representative of the charity 'Friendship at Home'.

They thanked us for our generosity and explained a little about their work and who would benefit from our donations.
